There has been a lot of news about the MacBook Pro recently, since many are starting to receive them and play around with them. Many people are asking how fast it boots, and others want to know what it looks like inside. So, thanks to OtherWorldComputing.com, we now know what the MacBook Pro looks like without its case. There are many other photos of angles of the new MacBook Pro also available from OWC.
Rich Lee has shot a video of a side-by-side comparison of the boot of speeds of a Titanium PowerBook and a new MacBook Pro. The boot up time of the new MacBook Pro is incredibly fast, but I don’t think it was fair to compare that two an old Titanium PowerBook. The results: the MacBook Pro booted in 27 seconds, while the TI PowerBook booted in 57 seconds, over twice as long.

Nice test, but I wish the TI PB would be a fresh build of 10.4.4, rather than the files and backgroudn picture. Doubt it would change much.
Thanks for the test!

think again dude. I too have the new MBP and it boots in 32 seconds, compared to 72 seconds on my 17″ PB 1.5GHz with FRESH install of 10.4.5. Dream on.
