This is the widget I’ve been waiting for. The concept is basically of the This Day in History widget, but instead is focused on Apple history.
The widget also adds a cool feature, where you can change the look of the widget to OS X, Classic, and Newton.

Where is this widget you speek of?? The link leads to the O.E. widget of this day in history.
The only thing I can make out of this is I see on the upper left of this page this was part of predictions for Safari 3.0 which is not said when writing this article.
