Real has released a beta version of Rhapsody, a semi-popular Music Store for Windows, to the Mac community. Users can sign up for a free account and listen to 25 songs a month via a web browser. Windows users can use an application to download and listen to music, but currently there is no Rhapsody application for Mac OS. Instead, Real makes you download a plug-in to listen to music with your browser.
I was somewhat disappointed, because I tried to listen to some online music, but it never started playing. I don’t know what Real is thinking here, what is their motive? They have nothing to offer, and I think iTunes is the best solution for downloading music.

I’ve always tried to avoid Real software when I can – the only time I use it is when I want to listen to BBC audio which is often in that format.
